Mobile and Fix Mobile Vendor License Application
IMPORTANT * Please Read the following before filling out this application.
This license is in compliance with the South Brunswick Township Code Chapter 18- Board of Health Regulations under Sections 18-251, 18-252 and 18-253. Read and understand the Township Code regarding Retail Food Establishments. This application is for both a mobile and fixed mobile vendor. A mobile vendor is one that travels from place to place when in operation. A fixed mobile vendor is one that is stationary in one place when operating.
South Brunswick Township requires any Mobile or Fixed Mobile Vendor to meet a certain number of requirements through a multi-departmental application process. This is required to meet code standards for different aspects of your business. *IMPORTANT Before you apply for a Mobile or Fixed Mobile Vendor License with the Health Department you must first start the process by applying for one with the Clerk’s Office. Click on the link to access the Clerk’s Mobile Vendor Application: (Mobile Vendor License Application) Click on this link to access the Clerk’s Fixed Mobile Vendor Application: (Fixed Mobile Vendor License Application) After you have applied for your business license through the Clerk’s office you will be contacted by the Health Department to start the process of applying for your Food Operational License. *Please do not start this application unless you have been contacted by our department.
When completing this application please make sure to:
-fill out all the fields with the most recent and accurate information for your food establishment
-attach the letter authorizing the use of your Base of Operation
-attach a copy of the most recent inspection report of the Base of Operation
-indicate the type of food service for your Mobile Truck
-please select the correct fees that fit the criteria for your Mobile Truck
Inspection of this vehicle by the Health Department is required for licensing. Contact 732-329-4000, extension 7233 if you have any questions about health code requirements to operate a mobile food business. Licensed Mobile Food Vehicles shall not operate Township Parks without special authorization from the South Brunswick Township Department of Parks and Recreation.
The annual fee for Mobile Vendor License or a Fixed Mobile Vendor License is $200.00
The annual fee for a Mobile Vendor License or a Fixed Mobile Vendor License that sells Pre-packaged,
non-potentially hazardous items will be $100.00
You can now pay by credit card or e-check. For credit cards a fee of 2.65% of the total amount due with a minimum fee of $1.50 will be assessed and paid directly to the credit card processor (this is not refundable). To pay by eCheck there is a flat fee of $1.50 paid directly to the check processor (this is not refundable). If you prefer to send a check for the fee, it can be made payable to South Brunswick Township and mailed to South Brunswick Township, Health Department - Licensing, P.O. Box 190, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. Please note your application will NOT be processed until we receive the online payment, a check or payment in the mail or at the counter in the Health Department.
